A flagship regional policy for Thanet, Margate, Broadstairs & Ramsgate.

Investing in our coast. Empowering our communities. Securing our future.

The plan covers:

  • Cultural & creative revival — Winter Gardens, Theatre Royal Margate, Margate Pride, Dreamland, Arts & Events Fund
  • Coastal jobs & enterprise zones — Business rate relief, support for creative and green industries
  • Housing for local people first — First-time buyer support, empty homes, regulation of short-term lets
  • Ramsgate maritime & green energy hub — Port of Ramsgate, offshore wind, marine engineering
  • Skills, youth & lifelong learning — Kent Coastal Skills Fund, apprenticeships, youth enterprise
  • Health, wellbeing & community — Universal Wellbeing Fund for Kent residents
  • Infrastructure & connectivity — Rail, buses, broadband, coastal routes

Impact: Reopen iconic venues, support Pride and inclusive events, strengthen Dreamland, create year-round jobs, help first-time buyers, invest in young people, revitalise maritime industries, and restore pride in our coastal communities.
