Our local subgroup for the Thanet area and the Kent coast.
Who we are
Together Britain Collective – Thanet is the local subgroup of Together Britain Collective covering the Thanet district and the Kent coastline. We focus on Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, and the surrounding communities.
We are volunteers and supporters who want our coast to thrive. We campaign for the Kent Coastal Renewal Plan and connect our area with the national movement for a fairer Britain.
Our area
Thanet is rich in history, culture, and diversity — from the beaches of Broadstairs and Margate to the port of Ramsgate, and from Dreamland to the Winter Gardens and Theatre Royal. We believe our communities have been overlooked for too long. Seasonal economies, housing pressures, and a lack of high-skill jobs have held the coast back. Our subgroup exists to change that by advocating for targeted investment, cultural revival, and opportunity for everyone who lives here.
What we do
- Campaign for the Kent Coastal Renewal Plan and its seven pillars (culture, jobs, housing, maritime hub, skills, wellbeing, infrastructure)
- Engage with local residents, businesses, and community groups
- Link our area with national TBC policy and the Universal Wellbeing Fund
- Support inclusive, community-led action and events
We are part of Together Britain Collective — a community-first, cross-party civic movement building a fairer Britain.
